Adults = $20 per person plus $3.50 Preservation Permit Fee

Seniors 65 or older = $20 per person

WHAT: Reelfoot Lake State Park invites you to enjoy the fascinating world of Reelfoot Lake by taking our Scenic Pontoon Boat Tour. Experienced Naturalists, who are eager to discuss the history and wonders of this natural phenomenon, will pilot our cruise boats.

Creative Discovery Museum Chemistry Day

Owl's Hill Nature Sanctuary Fall Color Hikes

WHAT: Fall is upon us! Led by veteran trail guides, you’ll follow the progression of fall at Owl’s Hill. This series of guided walks is just for adults. Walks begin promptly at 9:30; reservations required. Cameras and binoculars welcome. This hike is offered weekly on Saturdays from 10/1 - 11/12.

TARGET AUDIENCE: This is a moderately strenuous hike, open to age 15+. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

WHAT: Come have fun trying out STEM Activities with our community partners and learn how they use STEM in their real life careers. Community Partners will have tables and activities set up around the museum talking with guests about STEAM careers. The Community Engagement team will have their STEAM stations for added fun. Don't miss out on the animal encounters, the liquid nitrogen, or the outdoor exploding pumpkins!

WHAT: Discover an unknown artist...you! Sign up and paint along in a larger class, pick a painting with individual instruction or register your kiddo to get some hands on painting experience.

Lichterman Nature Center Scarecrow Contest

COST: Displays are free with regular admission

WHAT: Scarecrow Contest and Displays run October 1 through November 20. Individuals, businesses, neighborhoods, non-profits, clubs, senior centers, classrooms, and scout troops are all invited to create something special for 10,000 visitors/year to enjoy. Scarecrows are displayed in trailside locations around the special event lawn, trails and lake.

Cash prizes are awarded for Best STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math), Greenest, Most Creative, Best Critter, and Most Popular. Entries are eligible for all categories. Scarecrow Contest and Displays run October 1 through November 20.
